JUNIOR TROPHY WINNERS FOR 2023 ANNOUNCED

The Suffolk Golf Union winter coaching for the Under 18 and Under 16 squads was completed on 3rd March at Aldeburgh GC and saw 28 players and numerous parents, relatives and supporters pack the club house to hear Junior Chairman Trevor Mason and Manager Jim Harrison announce the various winners.

Pictured left is Reuben Harvery  the winner of the Nick Reiss Memorial Trophy.

In making the award Jim Harrison described the attitude and skill that had resulted in Reuben not only being captain of a successful Under 18 county side but a regular in the Mens first team and the season culminating in wining the Suffolk Open at Rookery Park.

The winner of the Sam Jaggard Trophy was George Swallow pictured left.

Jim Harrison described George in glowing terms for commitment to County golf and a worthy winner of this trophy.

Incidentally George was also awarded the prize for winning the winter skills test competition scored over 5 sessions in the Top Group. There were joint winners in group 2 being Henry Ridgeon and Charlie Longdon.
