Hambro Cup semi finalists are revealed

Sunday 22nd June saw the quarterfinals with some eagerly awaited match ups. Rookery Park, pictured above, met Felixstowe and will be delighted to have secured a 25 hole victory.

Woodbridge travelled to Hintlesham buoyed by a great win in the last round. However it was not to be this round as Hintlesham inspired by Simon Bearman and Trevor Hellyer ran out winners by 8 holes. Brett Vale entered the competition at the quarterfinal stage having had a bye and a walk over in the previous round. They faced a strong looking Gorleston outfit and so it turned out though Brett Vale won by 4 holes in the end. The last match was between Rushmere and Thorpeness. The visitors Thorpeness were 4 holes down at lunch but they had a great afternoon and ran out winners by 5 holes.

The Semi finals will be played on Sunday 20th July. Hintlesham v Thorpeness will be played at Fynn Valley and Rookery Park will play Brett Vale at Thorpeness.
