Great weather for the Parks second round

The second round of the Parks Trophy saw some very competitive games and very tight finishes. The closest was at HIntlesham where a play off was required to separate the teams. Flempton captain Andrew Sandford together with Jonathan Jones were selected by the visitors to contest the play off which they won at the first extra hole.

Meanwhile at Gorleston visitors Aldeburgh were 7 up with 2 matches in but ended up on the wrong side of the result as the last Gorleston group came in 7 up. There was a tight game at Halesworth where the visitors were a strong looking Diss side. After some enthralling games it was Halesworth that progressed by a narrow 2 holes.

Southwold, taking some confidence from their Stenson team, won against Newton Green. Felixstowe Ferry held off Brett Vale for a 4 hole win. Ipswich, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds had comfortable looking margins in their victories.

The next round will be played on 17th July and the updated draw can be viewed by clicking QUARTERFINALS
