FELIXSTOWE FERRY RETAIN JUNIOR TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

FELIXSTOWE FERRY RETAIN JUNIOR TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Aldeburgh and Felixstowe Ferry juniors met to contest the final of the Suffolk Junior Team Championship at Rushmere Golf Club on a very warm and sultry Saturday afternoon.

The match is decided by the combined Stableford scores of the three team members and was played in the best of spirits, most of the players knowing each other from county Under 18 and Under 16 squads.

Despite the best individual score of 34 points from 13 year old Charlie Langdon of Aldeburgh, Felixstowe Ferry emerged as winners by 87 points to 84 points and will represent Suffolk in the national Junior Team Championship at Woodhall Spa in August.

The victorious Felixstowe Ferry team seen here are Bailee Taylor, William Adams and Freddie Brewster and we all wish them well for the national tournament.
