English Champion Club
The English Champion Club tournament was held at Knowle Park Golf Club over the weekend of 18/19th September. Suffolk’s representative ,who qualified from the team competition at the Suffolk Amateur Championship, was Aldeburgh Golf Club.
Round 1 saw Alex Mair return a 3 over par 73, James Reiss a 74 and Logan Mair 88.
In Round 2 Alex Mair added a 72 for 145 -5 over par, Reiss 77 for 151 and Logan Mair 82 for 170. The team total of 466, 46 over par, left Aldeburgh in 29th place.
The event was won by Spalding Golf Club representing Lincolnshire who finished on a total of 413- 7 under par
