CURTAIN FALLS ON SENIORS LEAGUE CAMPAIGN

The last match of the season saw a tight morning at Stowmarket with 3 halved matches and 2 lost for a score of 1.5 – 3.5 at lunch. 

The afternoon singles again featured some close encounters however the strong Lincolnshire side won by 4.5 – 10.5. Suffolk winners were James O’Doherty and Simon Goldsmith and halves for Captain Duffety and Stephen Crosby.

The match saw the end of the tenure of Stephen Duffety as captain and he is thanked for all his efforts on behalf of the team.

The next captain will be Graham Sykes, who won the senior championship this year, and we wish him well for his spell in charge.
