TWO GREAT SEMI FINALS IN BEAUMONT TROPHY

Thursday 7th August saw the semi final stage of the Beaumont trophy. Bury St Edmunds (picutred above) and Fynn Valley faced off at Stowmarket and were relieved that the strong wind of the previous day had abated. This was a nip and tuck affair that was close throughout in all matches. In the final analysis Bury St Edmunds hung on for a win by one hole.

At Diss Bramford and Halesworth were the combatants. This was an equally close affair but saw Bramford run out the winners by 2 holes.

The final will be at Rushmere Golf Club on Thursday 4th September with a 1030hrs start.
