The Winstanley Tankard was presented to Phil Platten by the SGU President Martin Youngs at the recent SGU AGM. This trophy was first presented by Mr Winstanley in 1967 and is awarded annually for exceptional performance or contribution to Suffolk Golf. Phil, who has just retired from the SGU board, was actively involved with the County for approaching 20 years, during which time he has been Championship Director and County President (2015-16).
