SEG Under 16 League (Norfolk and Essex)
Suffolk Under 16’s played their second match of the season in the SEG Under 16 League on Saturday 6th July at The Warren Golf Club. They had to beat both Norfolk again and Essex, who narrowly beat them in the opening match, to keep their hopes alive of reaching the final which is to be held at Aldeburgh Golf Club on Sunday 29th September.
Suffolk convincingly beat Norfolk 6.5 to 1.5, however, Essex proved too strong taking the match by 5 to 3. Suffolk must now beat both teams in the final fixture, and hope that Norfolk can also beat Essex, to have any chance of reaching the final.
For Suffolk Tyler Weaver, George Austin and Harry Tibble all took maximum points, George is the only player to have won all his County Matches this season. Joe Ford, Charlie Little and Callum Hughes all scored 1 point.
