The 2026 final was a very close affair between Ufford Park and Southwold. After a up and down morning for both team it was level at lunch with all to play for.

The afternoon matches saw Southwold introduce a substitute pair with 80 yr old Peter Hurr from Southwold deciding that another round in the heat would not be in his or the teams interest following a 5 hole win in the morning. However with a pair on each side conceding 6 and 7 holes respectively the final total saw Ufford triumph by 2 holes with this only confirmed when the last pair halved the 17th (143rd) hole.

It is notable that this sees Captain Simon Townsend complete the grand slam in the Tolly Cobbold having been a player in the winning side of 2014, a caddy in the winning side of 2017 and captain this year.
