The Suffolk Juniors will compete in the matches and competitions below during 2026.
UNDER 18s
The Under 18’s team have a busy fixture list, they compete in the South East Group Under 18’s junior league – their division contains Norfolk and Bedfordshire. They also compete in the England Boys County Championship and Anglian League which contains a regional qualifier and a final as well as the South East Group Junior Foursomes Championship.

UNDER 16s
The Under 16’s compete in the South East Group Under 16’s Junior League – their division contains Norfolk and Herts.
They also compete annually in the Skevington Trophy as well as the Tom Finn Trophy which puts them against Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire & Rutland.

UNDER 14s
The Under 14’s have a number of annual fixtures, they have a match v Norfolk in May, as well as a triangle match v Cambridge and Norfolk in early June.
In addition they also compete in the Keith Bass Trophy – a strokeplay event also involving Essex, Norfolk and Bedfordshire, and there’s also the Anglian Shield – a match v Essex.

UNDER 12s
For 2026, we have introduced a mini league between Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
The format will be Stableford scoring with the best 6 net scores accumulated for the total points. Match points then allocated for the league position;

Suffolk Golf Union takes it’s responsibilities to the children participating in golf within the County, affiliated premises and within the representative County Junior system very carefully, and has produced the following Safeguarding Policy and underpinning procedures in order to set out the standards SGU wishes to uphold in providing activities for children and safeguarding the welfare of children in our care.
SGU is a member of England Golf and our professional coaching staff are members of the Professional Golfers’ Association. SGU recognises the policies of these Governing Bodies, as set in out in Guidelines for Safeguarding Children in Golf.
