The second round of matches hosted by Norfolk at Royal Norwich was played out on Sunday 2nd August. Both Suffolk by 6.5 - 1.8 and Norfolk by 5.5 - 2.5 overcame Bedfordshire. With all teams missing players due to holidays and other commitments this was a test of strength in depth.

The match between Suffolk and Norfolk was really close throughout but in the end Norfolk just got there by 4.5 to 3.5. There was some excellent golf on display and there is no doubt that some players gained some valuable experience.

This leaves Norfolk on 7pts, Suffolk 5pts and Beds 0 going into the last round at Leighton Buzzasrd on 23rd August when results will need to go Suffolks way for them to qualify for the final.
