After a long wait Rookery Park won the Hambro last year and kicked off their defence in Round 2 at home to Halesworth. After a close battle the visitors were victors by 6 holes and they were rewarded with home match against Aldeburgh who saw of Newton Green. Southwold, visiting fellow 9 hole course, Flempton triumphed by 10 holes and visitors Woodbridge won by the same margin at Fynn Valley.
