Colin also played an important role in the county’s development work, chairing the Suffolk County Golf Partnership and helping to strengthen participation programmes alongside leading coaches. He led the course rating team. Colin left the board in 2025 but continued to administer championships through last year. His steady leadership, fairness, and generosity of spirit have left a lasting mark on Suffolk golf.
The county is stronger for his service, and his contribution will be remembered with gratitude.
Colin’s funeral will be held on Thursday 16th April 2026 at 11am at St Mary the Virgin Church, East Bergholt , Colchester, Essex. The church service will be followed by a burial ceremony at East Bergholt cemetery. Black attire is not required.
