Captain Graham Sykes took his team of 6 on the long trip to Hampshire last week for the County Championship qualifier. After a days practice it was 18 holes on Wednesday. It was a difficult scoring day with Alan Henry the best placed Suffolk player on 73.

The Thursday, if anything, found scoring more difficult. Alan Henry maintained his good form and finished in 17th place on 149. The other members of the team again struggled to make a good score and we finished in 8th place behind winners Sussex who beat off the challenge of BBO and Herts by 4 shots.
