Beaumont 2nd round results
A stormy day greeted the 2nd round of the Beaumont trophy so what happened where

There were varying reports regarding the weather for Thursday's 2nd round matches. At Hintlesham only 2 groups made a start before the claxon sounded for lightning. Then it rained and the heavens opened flooding the course. After due considerations the tie was abandoned and rearranged for 11th June. In other locations there were reports of soaking wet golfer but no storms and in at least one there was more or less no rain.
Where golf was played the closest finish was at Gorleston who clung on to win by the smallest of margins, 1 hole. Southwold got the better of Newton Green by 3 holes with 2 matches finishing all square. Fynn Valley and Felixstowe won by 4 holes and there were comfortable wins for Halesworth , Bury St Edmunds and Thorpeness.
