Under 18 League Results
Suffolk under 18s travelled to Barnham Broom for the second round of matches in the League against Norfolk and Bedfordshire. After a lengthy warm up period the tree lined fairways of the Valley Course were the scene as rivalries were renewed. The long rough, a steady breeze made for a real test for the players. Congratulations are due to Callum Pearce, George Jackson and Charlie Goodridge who all won both their matches and to Dominic Rudd who took 1.5 pts after surviving a birdie barrage with 3 in 4 holes to gain a half and Ben Mason who also took 1.5pts. As the end of the game approached the managers took to paper to try and work out the ongoing score and were pleased to work out it was a 5 – 3 wins against both Norfolk and Bedfordshire. The match between Norfolk and Bedfordshire was 4 – 4. Meaning that after 2 rounds the league shows the scores as Suffolk 7, Bedfordshire 4 and Norfolk 1.
