Junior Team Championship Final

Junior Team Championship Final

Diss are the 2024 Junior Team Champions and will represent Suffolk at the National Junior Team Championship at Woodhall Spa in August.

The final against Woodbridge was keenly contested and played in an excellent spirit in typically windy conditions at Felixstowe Ferry. Fortunately, the heavy rain earlier in the day had subsided before the teams teed off, but the course was in excellent condition with the first round of the club championship having been played earlier in the day.

The match is a Stableford competition with the aggregate scores of all three players to count. The scores were Diss 108, Woodbridge 94. Diss had scored more than 100 points in every round of the competition and thoroughly deserved their victory.

SGU Junior Chairman, Trevor Mason, presented the trophy to the Diss Captain, Alfie Burr, along with team members Imogen Potter and Harry Burr.
